UK multi-channel retailer and importer · buying on purchase orders

We buy stock. Our tech sells it.

S&J Retail buys stock from UK and international brands, manufacturers and authorised distributors. Where appropriate, we import directly, then sell across Amazon, eBay, TikTok Shop, Temu and WorldFoodShop.com. Send your catalogue and wholesale price list. If the numbers work, we issue a purchase order.

Start with your catalogue; no pitch deck or introductory meeting required. We normally reply within two business days.

The buying process

From price list to purchase order

A straightforward buying process without a retainer, programme fee or drawn-out onboarding.

  1. 01

    Send your catalogue

Share EANs or UPCs, wholesale prices, VAT status, case packs, MOQs, lead times and current availability. Include product specifications, allergen information or safety documents where relevant.

  2. 02

    We select the SKUs

We assess marketplace demand, competition, margin, compliance, supply reliability and channel fit. We choose the lines that make commercial sense.

  3. 03

You receive clear quantities, agreed case packs, delivery instructions and payment terms. No onboarding fee, retainer or standard exclusivity requirement.

  4. 04

    Sell-through drives reorders

We launch products on the channels that fit, monitor real cross-channel demand and raise further purchase orders as sales develop.

What we take off your plate

One buyer. Multiple channels. Less work for your team.

S&J buys the goods. Our retail team and systems handle the work that follows.

01

We buy the stock

You supply against purchase orders. S&J takes responsibility for retail execution after the goods are received.

02

We build and maintain the listings

Titles, bullets, attributes, channel formatting, category mapping and pre-publish checks are handled by our own systems and team.

03

We prepare marketplace-ready assets

Official brand assets are used where supplied. Where images need work, we clean pack shots and prepare compliant channel-ready formats within brand guidelines.

04

We handle retail operations

S&J manages listing operations, fulfilment and customer workflows for the channels on which it sells.

05

We forecast and reorder

Cross-channel sales, in-stock availability, case packs and supplier lead times inform replenishment, with commercial review before purchase orders are raised.

Where we sell

Sold where the product fits

We select channels by category, demand, price point, compliance and customer fit, not through a blanket promise to list every SKU everywhere.

TikTok Shop campaign

Platform support for a supplier product

TikTok Shop worked with S&J to advertise a product from one of our suppliers through live shopping content, combining product discovery with a direct route to purchase.

Real campaign example

Campaign activity is selective and depends on the product, content opportunity and channel fit. It is not guaranteed for every stocked product.

S&J operates Temu's #2 best-selling local warehouse store in Pantry Staples. Active territories vary by channel and product. Territory detail is confirmed during commercial review.

Technology supporting the buying

Retail systems built for our own shelves

Our systems help us evaluate catalogues, publish stronger listings and reorder against real demand. They support our retail operation; they are not sold as a software service.

Catalogue & listings

Structured data in. Channel-ready listings out.

Product data is transformed into marketplace-ready titles, bullets, attributes and backend fields using structured templates, rules and model-assisted workflows. Listings are reviewed before publishing and monitored after launch.

  • Direct API workflows where available
  • UK and US localisation
  • Category mapping
  • Field-level keyword placement
  • Potential policy and data issues flagged for review
  • Listing performance monitoring

Every listing is previewed and validated internally before publishing.

Previewed before publish

Our team checks title structure, image order, key attributes, pricing presentation and mobile layout before a listing goes live.

Product imagery

Retail-ready imagery built from approved assets.

Official brand assets come first. Where supplier images need improvement, we clean pack shots, create channel-ready crops and layouts, and prepare supporting graphics within marketplace and brand guidelines.

  • Background clean-up and replacement
  • Channel-specific cropping and formatting
  • Feature and infographic overlays
  • Optional lifestyle scenes where appropriate
  • Consistent variant styling
  • Human quality review

Brand claims, packaging and product appearance must not be invented or materially altered.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on how we buy

Purchase orders, costs, channels, payment terms and the fastest way to start.

Do you charge for listings, images, exposure or portal access?

No. S&J makes money by buying and reselling stock. There are no listing fees, retainers or portal licence fees for products we stock.

Do you require exclusivity?

No. Standard buying does not require channel or territory exclusivity. Any exceptional commercial arrangement would have to be discussed and agreed separately in writing.

Is there a partnership programme or service contract?

No service programme is required. We buy against agreed purchase orders and supplier terms.

Do you buy outright or on consignment?

Our normal model is to buy stock against purchase orders, not ask suppliers to place stock with us on consignment.

What are your minimum orders?

There is no single minimum for every product. Quantities depend on case packs, supplier MOQs, product economics, expected demand and lead time. We may begin with a sensible test order and scale with sell-through.

Who do you buy from?

We buy from brand owners, manufacturers, authorised distributors and importers.

What do you need from us?

You can contact our buying team before your catalogue is ready. When available, send EANs or UPCs, wholesale prices, VAT information, case packs, MOQs, lead times and availability. Include specification sheets, allergen data, safety information and approved brand assets where relevant.

Where will our products be sold?

We select the channels that suit the product’s category, pricing, compliance and customer demand. We do not guarantee that every SKU will be listed on every channel.

What are your payment terms?

Payment terms are agreed before the first purchase order and stated in the relevant supplier and order documentation. Invoices are paid according to the agreed schedule.

Do we need an introductory meeting?

No. The quickest way to begin is to send your catalogue and wholesale price list. We will arrange a call if it helps resolve a commercial or operational point.

How do we start?

Use the form to send your catalogue or start a conversation with our buying team. Attachments are optional, so you can send files now or continue by email later. You can also email hello@sjretail.uk. We normally reply within two business days.
